Pinja Vuorinen is the chairman of the Left Youth of Finland and a student of political economy.

 

"I am running because if the endless pursuit of profit and environmental destruction continue, the conditions for the future of humanity will be destroyed. The rich get richer while our basic services are scrapped. All over the world, human rights are oppressed and restricted. It doesn't have to be this way. We need a policy that recognizes that human rights and a good life belong to everyone – not the few! I am running so that we have a future."

Pinja's electoral group are typically young urban students and workers between between 18 and 35 years. The design concept appears contemporary, minimalistic and dominant. A fusion of pink, as Vasemmisto's identity color, and red—referring to leftist, socialist as well as labour movements—are forming a striking visual presence. The red carnation is traditionally known for being a strong political symbol and it appears as a well recognizable simple icon for stickers, social media posts and also gets implemented as a typographical element in small details.
