In seven new exhibition rooms on 300 m2 the Museum Monastery Wilhering
provides an insight into its cultural heritage and the everyday life of the
Cistercian Monks. The monastic life is characterized by community and
spirituality. This duality is reflected in the museum's design by creating two
horizontal spheres: authentic handicraft represents the grounded basin of
fraternal humility, while cultural treasures are inspiring the detached spiritual
mind. In the shop and café area visitors can get in touch with the Cistercians.
